In total the Institute provides 3000 square feet of recreational space, divided into five areas:

  • The main hall
  • The garden room (annexe)
  • The kitchen (with serving facility into the garden room)
  • A snooker room housing one full size table
  • A meeting room ("The Doris Beanlands room")

The main hall can accommodate up to 100 people, dependent on the activity and/or the layout/seating arrangements etc.) The garden room, which faces onto the recreation grounds can accommodate up to 30 people) The Doris Beanlands room is suitable as a meeting room for up to 16 people. The kitchen is equipped with a modern gas cooker, refrigerator, hot water boiler, two sinks and serving counter.

The whole of the premises are heated by gas central heating when required and can be reserved by the public for all types of social events including:

  • Dances
  • Parties
  • Receptions
  • Shows
  • Indoor games/sports (subject to suitability)
  • Craft fairs
  • Club and Society activities
  • Snooker

Reduced rates are available to members of Morton Village Society (and/or Lottery participants). A number of regular activities take place within the Institute and can be found under the Bookings page.
