Aiming to preserve your village

Morton Village Society was formed in 1980. Much has been achieved over the years since and it continues with three main objectives:

• To help preserve the village, its environment and amenities including the village green.
• To foster a community spirit by arranging activities and events for the residents of the village.
•  To raise funds to help support projects and amenities within the village.

Membership of the society is open to all residents of East Morton and this and the village lottery are the main source of society funds. We are eager for as many residents as possible to become members in order to help maintain our above objectives (please see Membership).

The society publishes and distributes regular Newsletters each year keeping everyone up to date with projects, activities and events. Please send any items for inclusion to the Secretary, Mary Appleby, 24 Morton Grove, East Morton, BD20 5SN.

Our Annual General Meeting is held in July each year and all members are very welcome to come and participate or simply learn more about the society and its activities.
